Fabian Doñate is a Democratic member of the Nevada State Senate representing District 10. Appointed in 2021 at age 24 as the youngest senator in Nevada history, he won election in 2022 and currently serves as chair of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee, along with roles as Co-Democratic Whip and Deputy Democratic Whip .

Fabian Doñate was appointed to the Nevada Senate's 10th District seat in February 2021 after Democrat Yvanna Cancela resigned to join the Biden administration. He was selected from 14 candidates by the Clark County Commission, backed by groups like the Culinary Workers Union Local 226 and Make the Road Nevada. Doñate successfully ran for election in 2022. A public health advocate, he gained national attention in 2020 with an op-ed in The Nevada Independent criticizing Nevada's pandemic response, which led to his role on Joe Biden's Health Policy Platform Committee. There, he helped shape health care strategy and establish a Department of Defense agency for innovative health research.
