Representative Erin Brady

Representative Erin Brady was born in California and grew up primarily in Minnesota. She is a dedicated public servant with a strong commitment to education and social equity. Erin has been an active volunteer in multiple communities throughout her life, including Minneapolis, Colorado Springs, Washington D.C., and Vermont, where she has worked with organizations such as the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program and Williston schools. She is married to Ted and has two school-aged sons.
Education
Erin graduated from Colorado College in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in political science. She later pursued graduate education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she earned her master's degree and teacher licensure in 2006.
Political Experience
Before entering state politics, Erin worked for *U.S. Senator Mark Dayton * for five years as a legislative aide, focusing on education, environment, and energy policy. She transitioned from her Senate role to pursue teaching and earning her master's degree at Harvard.
Erin has taught social studies at Colchester High School since 2006 and was recognized as Vermont's history teacher of the year by the Gilder Lehrman Foundation in 2019. She also serves as an adjunct instructor in the Graduate Education department at Saint Michael's College and coordinates professional development at her school.
In her legislative career, Erin has served as a representative on the Champlain Valley School District Board since 2015 and currently serves as Vice Chair of the House Education Committee. She has completed two terms in the Vermont House of Representatives.
