Erica Mosca is a Democratic Assemblymember representing District 14 in the Nevada State Assembly, covering northeast Las Vegas. She is the first Filipina and first Asian-American woman elected to represent this district, winning in 2022 with 65% of the vote. A first-generation college graduate and daughter of a Filipino immigrant, she grew up in a low-income household in Palm Springs, California, before moving to Novato, California, where she experienced educational inequities. Mosca is a proud military spouse and parent to two adopted sons, ages 5 and 7. Notable achievements include passing 5 out of 6 bills into law during her freshman session, chairing the AANHPI Legislative Caucus, serving as Assistant Majority Leader in her second session, and chairing the Legislative Operations & Elections Committee and the Health & Human Services budget subcommittee on Ways & Means.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Print Journalism from Boston University in 2008; earned an MEd in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas; and an EdM in Education Policy & Management from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
• Early Career: Joined Teach For America in 2008, teaching 5th grade at Daniel F. Goldfarb Elementary School in East Las Vegas; worked on policy for the Clark County School District; founded and led the nonprofit Leaders in Training for a decade to empower underserved students as community leaders and first-generation college graduates; small business owner.
• Political Experience: Elected to the Nevada Assembly in November 2022, replacing term-limited Democrat Maggie Carlton; serves on Education, Judiciary, and Revenue committees; advocates for policies removing barriers to internships and expanding student opportunities.
