Biography
Eric Synenberg is a Democratic member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 21st District in Cuyahoga County, which includes Beachwood, Euclid, Lyndhurst, South Euclid, University Heights, and parts of Cleveland. Born and raised in University Heights, he is a third-generation elected official, Jewish, and resides in Beachwood with his wife Jamie and three sons. First elected in 2024, he defeated Republican Joshua Malovasic with 79.2% of the vote and is serving his first term. Notable positions include condemning House Bill 249 and focusing on affordable housing, property tax reform, equitable school funding, workforce development, and support for working families. He previously served on Beachwood City Council as Vice President and chair of committees on Economic Development, Finance, Legal & Personnel, and Safety.

- Education: Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Miami University ; Juris Doctor from Cleveland State University College of Law ; Master of Laws in Taxation from University of Miami School of Law .
- Political Experience: Deputy Counsel for Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel ; Beachwood City Councilman ; Ohio House Representative, District 21 .
- Professional Experience: Attorney at Synenberg & Associates, LLC ; prior private practice in Florida and New York. Involved in Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Jewish Family Service Association, and other local organizations; volunteers in Cleveland Public Schools and coaches youth sports.
