Eric Maguire is a Republican representative for Rutland-5 in the Vermont House of Representatives, serving since January 2023. Born in Hyannis, Massachusetts, he moved to Rutland City, Vermont, in 2010 and resides there with an adult son. In his spare time, he enjoys walking his dog and assembling Lego architecture sets.

Education and Political Experience

• Earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, followed by graduate studies in Human Services/Criminal Justice.
• Assisted in developing and implementing the Transitional Housing and Re-entry Program at the Vermont Achievement Center, and served as its director.
• Notable positions: Board President of Rutland Turning Point, Vice President of the Board of Recovery Partners of Vermont, and board member of the Rutland Restorative Justice Center.
• Elected to the Vermont House of Representatives in 2023, representing Rutland-5 as seat number 73.
