Eric Gallager

Eric Gallager is a Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives representing the Merrimack 20th district. He represents Concord Ward 6 and has been serving in the state legislature since 2020. Gallager is an activist with deep community roots, living in public housing in a large apartment building where he witnessed firsthand the needs of his neighbors for government assistance.

Education

Gallager graduated from Concord High School in 2009 and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from George Washington University in 2013.

Political Experience

Gallager's political engagement began early in his career. In 2011, he interned with Senator Shaheen on Capitol Hill, where he contributed policy insights on generic pharmaceutical issues that he believes influenced federal action.

Since entering the state legislature, Gallager has focused on legislative work that reflects his progressive values. Most notably, in 2024 he introduced a bill that, when passed into law, repealed New Hampshire's autism registry—a significant achievement in disability rights advocacy.

Gallager has received endorsements from the New Hampshire Progressive Coalition and the Southern New Hampshire chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, reflecting his alignment with progressive causes and his commitment to grassroots activism.
