Biography
Eric Barlow is a Republican politician from Campbell County, Wyoming, currently serving in the Wyoming State Senate representing District 23 since 2023. Born on May 8, 1966, in Gillette, Wyoming, Barlow is a fourth-generation Wyomingite raised on his family's ranch. He is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, large-animal veterinarian, and rancher who has built a career centered on service and principled leadership.
Barlow is married to Kelly and has two children, Kate and Graham. He resides in Gillette with his family and is a co-owner of Gourmet Lamb of Wyoming.
Education
Barlow earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1998.
Political Experience
Barlow was first elected to the Wyoming House of Representatives in 2012, representing District 3, where he served five consecutive terms from 2013 to 2023. During his tenure in the House, he held several significant leadership positions:

- House Majority Floor Leader
In the House, Barlow chaired multiple committees including the House Rules & Procedure Committee, the Management Audit Committee, and the Subcommittee on Legislator Compensation. He also served on various legislative committees focused on labor, health, social services, and natural resources, and held memberships in the Council of State Governments at both state and national levels.
Since 2023, Barlow has served in the Wyoming State Senate, where he currently chairs the Senate Labor, Health & Social Services Committee. He is also an appointed member of the Wyoming Livestock Board and a member of the Powder River Basin Resource Counsel.
