Biography
Emily McIntire is a Republican representing District 56 in the Oregon House of Representatives, which includes areas such as Klamath Falls, Eagle Point, Central Point, and surrounding communities in Jackson and Klamath Counties. Born and raised in Jackson County, she spent her early years in Trail, Oregon, and has lived the last 30 years in Eagle Point. She is married to Ryan, with whom she has two children, and is actively involved in her local church. A business owner and mother, McIntire entered politics after serving on her local school board, driven by a passion for community-driven education and local control. She won her House seat in the 2022 election against Democrat Jonathan Chenjeri, securing 96.7% of the vote in the general election, and serves in her first term as of 2026. Notable positions include Co-Chair of the Oregon chapter of the Future Caucus alongside Rep. Ben Bowman, and she has supported Texas Gov. Greg Abbott during the Standoff at Eagle Pass.
