Representative Emily Gise is a Republican serving Oklahoma's 90th House District, which covers parts of Cleveland and Oklahoma counties, including areas of Oklahoma City . A sixth-generation Oklahoman born in Tulsa, she was elected in 2024, defeating Matt Echols in the Republican primary and Nana Dankwa in the general election , and sworn in on November 20, 2024. Notable achievements include pioneering programs at the Oklahoma Department of Human Services to transition Oklahomans from benefits to workforce self-reliance, breaking poverty cycles; serving as Vice Chair of the Appropriations & Budget Human Services Subcommittee; and holding committee roles on Business, Children, Youth and Family Services, and Government Modernization and Technology. She also serves as a speaker-appointed commissioner on the Oklahoma-Israel Exchange Commission and a governor-appointed commissioner on the Office of Juvenile Affairs State Advisory Group . Beyond politics, she leads community efforts on boards for Oklahoma St. Jude, Central Oklahoma Association for Talent Development, and Emerge Empowered, and attends Life.Church South OKC with her husband, Josh.
