Elise Stefanik was born July 2, 1984, in Albany, New York. She earned a bachelor's degree from Harvard University in 2006. After graduating, Stefanik served as an aide in President George W. Bush's administration before moving back to her home region in New York to work for her family's business. In 2014, at the age of 30, Stefanik became the youngest woman elected to Congress at that time. She won her seat in New York's 21st District over Democrat Aaron Woolf.
