Biography
Elinette González Aguayo is a Puerto Rican politician from the Partido Nuevo Progresista *, representing *District 11 in the Puerto Rico House of Representatives since 2025. Born on August 27, 1973, in San Juan, she spent much of her childhood, education, and career in Dorado, where she resides. She was elected on November 5, 2024, succeeding Tatito Hernández, and serves as President of the Comisión de Recursos Naturales . She also holds a position as a member of the House Committee on Jurídico Comisión.
Education
González Aguayo graduated from public schools in Dorado and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the Colegio Universitario Tecnológico de Bayamón. She later obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a specialty in Project Management from the Sistema Universitario Ana G. Méndez.
Political Experience
She entered public service in the Puerto Rico Senate, holding roles such as positions in the Office of the Senate President and Coordinator of Services in the Superintendencia de El Capitolio. Her experience includes work in the Accounting Division of the Department of Economic Development and Commerce, the Citizen Service Office under the Governor’s Office, and the Budget Office of the Administration for Minor Support. In the private sector, she served as Operations Director and Interim Director of the Jane Stern Community Library in Dorado, and as an Administrative Assistant in a law firm.
