Biography
Edgardo Feliciano Sánchez is a Representative for District 12 in Puerto Rico's House of Representatives, affiliated with the *Partido Popular Democrático *. Born on January 30, 1976, in Bayamón, he excelled academically in public schools Teodomiro Taboas and Fernando Callejo in Manatí. At age 18, he moved to Vega Baja, where he has lived for over 27 years and established himself as a community leader. He was reelected for the 2025-2028 term and serves as spokesperson for key commissions, including Recursos Naturales, Asuntos Ambientales y Reciclaje; Desarrollo y Fiscalización Región Norte; and Joint Commissions on Climate Change Mitigation, Adaptation, and Resilience. His legislative focus includes social justice, labor rights, and addressing climate change impacts.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico, Arecibo Campus; Master’s degree in Human Resources from Interamerican University, Metropolitan Campus.
- Political Experience: Worked in public service roles at the Municipality of Vega Baja, Department of Education, Junta de Calidad Ambiental , and Department of Natural Resources. Elected and reelected as Representative for District 12, emphasizing unifying legislation on environmental and social issues.
