Biography
Eddie D. Settle is a Republican state senator representing District 36 in the North Carolina General Assembly, covering Alexander, Surry, Wilkes, and Yadkin counties. A native of Wilkes County born around 1960 , he owns Nu-Line Printing since 1994 and Settle Cattle Company since 1990. Elected to the Senate in 2022 after serving three terms as a Wilkes County Commissioner , where he acted as Chairman for four years and Vice Chairman for three, he holds leadership roles including Chair of the Senate Commerce and Insurance Committee and Vice Chair of the Environmental Review Commission. Notable positions include advocacy for tax cuts, Second Amendment rights , voter ID laws, business growth, and family values; he has chaired the NC Association of County Commissioners' Agriculture Steering Committee for six years and currently chairs its Environmental Steering Committee.
