Biography
Ed Neilson is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 174th District in Northeast Philadelphia County. A lifelong civic leader and community activist in Northeast Philadelphia, he has focused on job creation, protecting the elderly, public safety, education, and addressing absentee landlords. Notable achievements include securing funding for schools, transportation, and infrastructure projects, as well as championing the Dyslexia and Early Literacy Intervention Pilot Program. Prior roles include serving the 169th District , Philadelphia City Council , and community service such as coaching sports teams, Boy Scouts leadership, and pro bono projects with IBEW for local clubs and facilities.

- Professional Background: Electrician; member and political director of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 98; Deputy Secretary of Labor for Philadelphia; Director of Government Affairs and Business Development at Chartwell Law Offices.
