Biography

Senator Dylan A. Fernandes is a Democrat representing the Plymouth and Barnstable District in the Massachusetts State Senate. He won the seat in the 2024 general election with 51% of the vote against Republican opponent Matthew Muratore. Previously, he served as a State Representative for the Barnstable, Dukes, and Nantucket District in the Massachusetts House from 2017 onward, winning all 10 of his contested elections. Fernandes is a strong advocate for renewable energy, affordable housing, early education, immigration reform, and tax relief measures like cutting the estate tax for middle-class families.
