Doug Wozniak is a Republican state representative for Michigan's 59th House District, which includes most of Shelby Township and portions of Macomb and Shelby townships in Macomb County. First elected to the Michigan House in November 2018, he served two terms until winning a special election to the state Senate in 2021, then returned to the House after re-election in November 2024. Prior to state service, he was a Shelby Township Trustee from 2008 to 2018. Notable positions include chairman of the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules, vice chair of Families and Veterans, and member of Judiciary and Regulatory Reform Committees. He is active in community groups like Kiwanis Club Shelby Golden K, St. Kieran’s Knights of Columbus, Shelby Lions, and local boards including Planning Commission and Macomb Board of Canvassers.
