Biography

Doug Lamborn is a Republican who represented Colorado's 5th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2006 until his retirement. Born on May 24, 1954, in Leavenworth, Kansas, he is a former attorney specializing in business and real estate law, practicing for over 20 years in Colorado Springs. Notable achievements include sponsoring Colorado's largest tax cut in state history, serving as Senate President Pro Tem and House Republican Whip in the Colorado Legislature, and holding key committee roles on the House Armed Services Committee, Veterans' Affairs Committee, and the U.S. Air Force Academy Board of Visitors. He was recognized as the most conservative member of Colorado's congressional delegation and led efforts against federal funding for NPR and OSHA regulations impacting small arms ammunition.

Education
