Biography
Leon D. "Doug" Gilliam is a Republican member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 42 since November 12, 2018. He succeeded Michael A. Anthony and has been reelected, including as a candidate in 2022 and 2024. Gilliam is married to Pamela Rodgers since 1986 and is a Baptist affiliated with Philippi Baptist Church. Notable affiliations include the American Legion Post 22, Gun Owners of South Carolina, National Rifle Association, and South Carolina Farm Bureau. He has served as a reserve Sheriff's Deputy in Union County and was formerly executive director of the Union County Agricultural Fair and a member of the Union County Election Commission Board.
