Biography

Doug K. Fiefia is a Republican member of the Utah House of Representatives, representing District 48 since 2025. A first-generation American, his parents immigrated from Tonga to Utah in the 1970s; his uncle Phil Uipi served in the Utah House from 1991 to 1994. Fiefia won his 2024 election with 63.8% of the vote. He advocates for data privacy, AI regulation , strengthening families, eliminating government waste, parental rights, and school choice. He chairs the nonprofit Raise the Tide, which supports underrepresented minorities, and serves on Utah State University’s Foundation Board. He owns SOJO Construction and leads partnerships at Domo. Married to Jocelyn, he has four children: Melolini, Tomenika, Elenoa, and Douglas Jr.

Education and Political Experience

  • Graduated from Bingham High School , where he led the football team to its first state championship in over 60 years and served as student body president.
  • Earned two Bachelor’s degrees in Marketing and Business Administration from Utah State University; served two terms as Student Body President and President of the Utah Student Association, lobbying at the State Capitol.
  • Master of Business Administration from Rice University.
  • Career in technology sales at Workday, Google, and Domo.
  • Elected to Utah House District 48 in 2024; served in 2025 and 2026 sessions.
