Biography
Doug Bankson is a Republican representing Florida House District 39 . Born February 18, 1963, in Altadena, California, he moved to Florida in 1982 and resides in Apopka. He is the founder and senior pastor of Victory Church World Outreach Center, founder and president of a faith-based K-12 school, police chaplain, and a nondenominational Christian. Married to Jeri Bankson, with children Benjamin, Joseph, Michael, and Victoria "Tori," and grandchildren Elliana "Elli" and Ezra. Notable prior roles include Apopka Vice Mayor and City Commissioner , and Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce. Elected to the Florida House in 2022 and reelected subsequently, with terms through 2030. Current committee roles: Vice Chair of Student Academic Success Subcommittee; member of Rules & Ethics Committee, Select Committee on Property Taxes, Ways & Means Committee, Careers & Workforce Subcommittee, Criminal Justice Subcommittee, and State Administration Budget Subcommittee.
