Biography
Donnie Scoggin is a Republican member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing District 89 since January 2017 after his election in November 2016. Born on August 12, 1962, in Ellisville, Mississippi, he is a nurse practitioner with a career in healthcare, including roles as an orderly, EMT, clinical nurse educator, emergency room nurse, and family nurse practitioner at South Central Regional Medical Center. He is married to Donna Grantham and is of the Baptist faith. Notable positions include vice chair of the House Universities and Colleges Committee and former vice chair of the House Technology Committee ; he is also affiliated with the Jones County Republican group, Jones County E.D.A., Mississippi Nurse Practitioners Association, and Mississippi Nurses Association.
