Biography

Donna Scheuren is a Republican politician currently serving as the Representative for the 147th Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Born in New Jersey, she resides in Lower Salford Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. She married her husband, Dave Scheuren, in 1996, and they reside in a home he built in 2001. Her husband serves as a Township Supervisor and a board member on the Lower Salford Sewer Authority. The couple are parishioners of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lansdale, Pennsylvania.

Professionally, Scheuren has worked in the industrial commodities and manufacturing sector for nearly 30 years as a businesswoman, manufacturer's representative, and vice president. Her career has involved engaging with businesses domestically and abroad to secure manufacturing contracts. She has also operated as a small business owner and served as an administrator overseeing health and benefits for her family's construction company. In 2020, she was appointed to The Foundations Board of Trustees for Grand View Health, where she serves on the Investment Committee.

Education

Scheuren attended Cherokee High School in Marlton, New Jersey, graduating in 1987. She subsequently attended The College of New Jersey, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration as part of the class of 1991.

Political Experience

Scheuren's involvement in public service began at the local level. She served three terms on the Souderton Area School Board, acting as the board's vice president and finance chairman. During this tenure, she focused on board governance and delivering fiscally responsible budgets. She also served on the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit and Legislative Committees, interacting with school directors across Montgomery County regarding educational and social services.

She was sworn into the Pennsylvania House of Representatives on January 3, 2023, succeeding Tracy Pennycuick. In the legislature, she serves on the House Transportation, Professional Licensure, Commerce, Intergovernmental Affairs and Operations, and Legislative Budget and Finance Committees. She holds leadership positions as the Republican Chair of the Subcommittee on Automation and Technology within the Commerce Committee and the Republican Chair of the Subcommittee on Highways within the Transportation Committee.

During the 2022 general election for the 147th District, Scheuren defeated Democratic candidate Alexandra Wisser. She received 17,667 votes
