Biography
Donna Barnes is a Democratic representative for Missouri House District 28, which includes Raytown, parts of Kansas City, and portions of Jackson County. Elected in 2024, she succeeded her husband, former Representative Jerome Barnes, to whom she is married; she previously worked 35 years for the U.S. Postal Service in the Kansas City area before retiring. Born and raised in Kansas City, she is a member of Connection Point Church in Raytown and focuses on issues like health care, education, support for the working class, and tax relief for seniors.
