Senator Donald Schaible

Donald Schaible was born in 1957 in Elgin, North Dakota. He is a farmer by profession and resides in Mott, North Dakota. Schaible is married to Carmen and has four children. He is active in his community, having served as past president of the Mott/Regent School Board and holding positions with the Mott Ambulance Service and Mott Volunteer Fire Brigade. He also serves as a trustee of Zoar Congregational Church.

Education

Schaible holds an Associate of Science degree in Agriculture from North Dakota State University .

Political Experience

Schaible is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 31 in the North Dakota State Senate. He has served in the state senate since 2011. He currently holds the position of President Pro Tempore of the Senate.

In the legislature, Schaible serves on several committees, including the Emergency Response Services Committee, where he serves as Vice Chair, and the Government Finance Committee. He is also involved in the Budget Section, including the Education and Environment Division and Regulatory Division, as well as the Regional Jail Study Subcommittee.
