Senator Michael "Doc" Rhett represents District 33 in the Georgia State Senate, covering a portion of Cobb County. First elected in 2014 and sworn in on January 12, 2015, he is the first African American to hold this seat. He serves on the Senate Committee on Judiciary and the Senate Committee on Finance.
