Biography
Richard "Dick" H. Campbell is a Republican state representative for Maine House District 19 , currently serving his ninth non-consecutive term since December 2022. Born August 25, 1949, in Bangor, Maine, he resides in Orrington and owns Campbell LLC, a design and building contracting company. His military service includes eight years in the U.S. Air Force , Maine Air National Guard during the Vietnam War era, and Maine Army National Guard from 1968-1975. Notable community roles include past president of the Bangor-Brewer YMCA Board of Trustees, member of the John Bapst High School Board of Trustees, co-chair of the Eastern Maine Soapbox Derby, president of Orrington's Old Home Week Committee, and historical society member. In the legislature, he serves as ranking member of the Environment and Natural Resources Committee and Rules and Business of the House Committee, plus the Ethics Committee; past leadership includes Assistant House Republican Leader .
Education and Political Experience
Education: AA from Eastern Maine Technical College ; attended University of Maine-Orono .
Political Experience: Elected to Maine House ; ran for U.S. House Maine District 2 ; former member of Environment and Natural Resources and Government Oversight Committees.
