Diamond Staton-Williams is a Democratic politician, registered nurse , small business owner, and former member of the North Carolina House of Representatives for District 73 from 2023 to 2025. A North Carolina native born and raised in the Charlotte area, she was primarily raised by her grandmother in Harrisburg, where her family has lived since 2008; she is a mother of three children in Cabarrus County public schools. She currently serves on the Harrisburg Town Council and holds positions on boards including Communities in Schools, Daymark, Pfeiffer Alumni, NC Foundation for Nursing, and the NC League of Municipalities Board of Trustees; she is also a member of NC Women in Municipal Government and a founding member of the Black Political Caucus of Cabarrus County. Notable achievements include creating the first Youth Council in Harrisburg, achieving accreditation from the NC Advanced Leadership Corps and Leadership NC, and winning the 2022 election by 629 votes over Republican Brian Echevarria, which helped prevent a Republican supermajority in the House; she lost reelection in 2024 to Republican Jonathan Almond.
