Biography
Devan Seabaugh is a Republican representative for Georgia House District 34, which covers west Cobb County and parts of Marietta and Kennesaw. Born June 27, 1965, he is an ambulance company executive with a 40-year career in healthcare, starting as a paramedic with Grady EMS in Atlanta before helping launch Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service in Cobb County; he currently serves as Vice President of Administration. Elected in a special election in July 2021 after incumbent Bert Reeves resigned, he won reelection in 2022 against Dorothy Coker and in 2024 against Karl Gallegos, and is running again in 2026. Notable achievements include leadership roles as Vice Chairman of the House Industry & Labor Committee, Appropriations Subcommittee on Health, and Creative Arts & Entertainment Committee; Deputy Whip for the Republican Majority House Caucus; and former Vice Chairman of the Cobb County Legislative Delegation. He serves on boards including Wellstar Kennestone Regional Hospital, North Georgia State Fair Association, Cobb Chamber of Commerce, and Cobb Travel and Tourism Sports Alliance.
