Biography
Destin Chase Hall is a Republican attorney and politician representing North Carolina House District 87 since 2017. He was elected the 121st Speaker of the North Carolina House of Representatives in January 2025, becoming one of the youngest legislative leaders in U.S. history at age 37 and the first Republican speaker in the state never to have served in the minority. Notable achievements include serving as the youngest Chair of the House Rules Committee since 2020, leading redistricting efforts, sponsoring key legislation on immigration enforcement and school vouchers, and rapid rise from freshman leader in 2017. Born and raised in Lenoir, Caldwell County by his grandparents, he lives in Granite Falls with his wife, Madison Skeens Hall , and their son Henry ; they attend Union Grove Baptist Church.

- Professional Experience: General practice attorney at Wilson, Lackey, Rohr & Hall in Lenoir ; previously at SeiferFlatow in Charlotte and Fleischer & Hall in Hickory/Lenoir; serves as attorney for Caldwell County Schools.
