Dennis Powers is a Republican representative for District 36 in the Tennessee House of Representatives. Born on September 14, 1953, he is married to Tracy and attends First Baptist Church of Jacksboro. He works as an insurance agent and serves as Chairman of the Private Acts Committee, with additional roles on the Calendar & Rules Committee, Children & Family Affairs Subcommittee, Department & Agencies Subcommittee, Judiciary Committee, and State & Local Government Committee.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Graduated from LaFollette High School; B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee.
