Biography
Dennis Lenz
Dennis Robert Lenz is a Republican state senator representing District 25 in the Montana State Senate. He is from Billings, Montana, where he has maintained a career as a self-employed farmer since 1987. Lenz is married to Deanna and has two children, Danae and Dustin.
Before his current role in the state senate, Lenz served as a Captain with the Billings Fire Department from 1989 to 2014, combining his public service with his farming operations.
Education
Lenz holds two certifications:
- Pastoral Ministry from Yellowstone Valley Bible Institute
- Ranch Management from Texas Christian University
Political Experience
Lenz has served in the Montana legislature since 2012, holding several positions:
- Majority Whip, Montana State Senate
- Senator, Montana State Senate, District 27
- Majority Whip, Montana State House of Representatives
- Representative, Montana State House of Representatives, District 53
- Representative, Montana State House of Representatives, District 50
Currently, Lenz serves on multiple legislative committees, including the Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Committee; Finance and Claims Committee; Rules Committee; and serves as Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on Public Health, Welfare and Safety and the Public Health, Welfare and Safety Committee.
