Dennis Bamburg Jr.
Dennis Bamburg Jr. is an American politician and member of the Louisiana House of Representatives representing District 5. He represents Bossier Parish, Caddo Parish, and Red River Parish. Bamburg assumed office on January 8, 2024, succeeding Alan Seabaugh. He was elected unopposed to his seat in 2023 and is eligible to serve through the 2032 term.
By profession, Bamburg is an Allstate Insurance Agent based in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Political Party and District
Bamburg is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 5 of the Louisiana House of Representatives. His district corresponds to Senate Districts 31, 36, and 38.
Education and Political Experience
Bamburg earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Prior to his election to the state house, he served as a member of the Bossier Parish School Board, which he was elected to in 2014. He supports school choice policies as part of his legislative platform.
Currently, Bamburg serves on several legislative committees, including the Insurance Committee, Labor and Industrial Relations Committee, Ways and Means Committee, and the Joint Legislative Committee on Capital Outlay. He is also a member of the Louisiana Republican Legislative Delegation and the Louisiana Rural Caucus.
