Biography

Denley M. Loge is a Republican state senator representing District 45 in the Montana Senate, which includes Mineral County, Sanders County east of Plains, Missoula County west of Frenchtown, Lolo, Lolo Creek, and Missoula southeast of 39th Street. Born in 1950 in Valley City, North Dakota, he resides in Saint Regis, Montana, and practices Lutheranism. Notable achievements include serving four terms in the Montana House of Representatives for District 14 , where he was Majority Whip in 2023 and chaired the Transportation Committee. He won election to the Senate in 2024, defeating Annamarie White with 2,932 votes. Loge was part of a moderate Republican-Democrat coalition in the 69th Montana Legislature, known as the "nasty nine," which led to his censure on March 27.
