Biography

Deanna Self is a Republican member of the Missouri House of Representatives for District 64, which includes parts of St. Charles County. Elected in November 2024, she assumed office on January 8, 2025, with her current term ending January 6, 2027. Born January 1, 1962, in Wood River, Illinois, she has spent most of her life in Missouri, including time in North St. Louis County, Lincoln County, and St. Charles County since 2005; she lived out of state while her husband served in the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. A Baptist and active at Dardenne Baptist Church, she is married with two daughters and resides in St. Paul. As a licensed professional counselor with a private practice in Lake St. Louis from 2015 to 2025, she specializes in individual, marriage, couples, and family therapy. She has served in ministry leadership as a pastor's wife since 1988, including as worship leader, music/choir director, Bible study teacher, and on church committees, and as chapter chair for Missouri Right to Life in North County and St. Charles County .

Education and Political Experience

Education: M.A. in Counseling and M.A. in General Theology , both from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri.

Political Experience: This is Self's first term in the Missouri House of Representatives, beginning in 2025, where she advocates for constituents with a focus on family and community issues informed by her counseling and ministry background.
