Dawn White is a Republican member of the Tennessee Senate representing the 13th district, which covers the western half of Rutherford County, including Eagleville, Rockvale, Smyrna, La Vergne, Blackman, Leanna, and portions of Murfreesboro and Walter Hill. A lifelong conservative from Eagleville, Tennessee, she is the daughter of Gloria Jean and Dwight Throneberry and resides in Murfreesboro with her husband Chad; they are active members of LifePoint Church in Smyrna. She assumed office in the Senate on January 8, 2019, succeeding Bill Ketron, after serving in the Tennessee House of Representatives for District 37 from 2012 to 2018.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Graduated from Rutherford County Schools; earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, and Education Specialist in Administration and Supervision from Middle Tennessee State University.
• Political Experience: Elected to the Tennessee House District 37 in 2012 , re-elected in 2014 and 2016; elected to the Tennessee Senate District 13 in 2018. Notable for her conservative positions and strong community focus on faith, family, and service.
