David Wheeler

David W. Wheeler was an American businessman and politician who served as a Republican member of the Alabama House of Representatives representing the 47th district from 2018 until his death in 2022.

Wheeler was born in Jemison, Alabama, and was known as a servant leader throughout his home state. He was retired from Alabama Power and resided in Vestavia Hills, representing that community in the state legislature. He was married to Diane Reeves and passed away at the age of 72.

Education

Wheeler earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Montevallo and an MBA from Samford University.

Political Experience

Wheeler served in the Alabama House of Representatives from November 6, 2018, until his death on March 9, 2022. He represented the 47th district, succeeding Jack D. Williams and was succeeded by Mike Shaw. As a businessman and legislator, Wheeler built a career focused on public service and community leadership in Alabama.
