Biography
David H. Watters is a Democratic State Senator representing District 4 in Strafford County, New Hampshire. He has served in the New Hampshire Senate since 2012 after two terms in the House of Representatives . A professor emeritus of English at the University of New Hampshire, Watters is recognized for bipartisan leadership on education, environmental protection, clean energy, and public health initiatives, including establishing all-day kindergarten, expanding career and technical education, combating PFAS contamination with a $50 million bond fund, creating wildlife corridors, and advancing opioid recovery efforts like the New Hampshire Recovery Monument Commission.
