Representative David Steffen
David Steffen is an American businessman and Republican politician from Green Bay, Wisconsin, born on October 12, 1971. He is married and has one son.
Education
Steffen graduated from Ashwaubenon High School in 1990 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Political Experience
Steffen has served as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Wisconsin's 4th Assembly District since 2015.
Among his notable legislative achievements and positions:
- He played an important role in the 2001–2003 renovation of Lambeau Field, demonstrating his involvement in major community infrastructure projects.
- In 2016, following the killing of five police officers in Dallas, Steffen introduced legislation to make targeting police officers a hate crime in Wisconsin.
- In 2020, Steffen proposed legislation to dissolve the Lambeau Field Stadium District and transfer ownership of the stadium to Green Bay, with funds and assets redistributed to residents of the city and surrounding county.
