Biography
David Sessions is a Republican Alabama State Senator representing District 35, which covers parts of Mobile County. A farmer from Grand Bay, Alabama, he was elected to the Senate on November 6, 2018, after serving in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2011 to 2018. He co-owns Sessions Farms, a diversified family farming operation, and serves as president of Grand Bay Water Works and Producers Gin Co., LLC. Sessions is a supervisor on the Mobile County Soil and Water Conservation District board, past president of the Alabama Pecan Growers Association, and attends First Baptist Church of Grand Bay with his wife, Lisa Driskell Sessions, and their three children. Notable committee roles include Chair of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry; member of Finance and Taxation Education, Rules, Tourism, Transportation and Energy, Mobile County Legislation, and Fiscal Responsibility and Economic Development; and service on the Joint Transportation Committee and Permanent Joint Legislative Committee on Energy Policy.
