Biography
David Meuse is a Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Rockingham 37, which includes Newington, New Castle, and Portsmouth Wards 1 and 5. He has served since 2018 and is currently in his third term. A retired consultant, Meuse resides in Portsmouth, is married with one child, and has been active in local issue advocacy, including organizing an Indivisible chapter, serving on the Portsmouth Democratic Executive Committee, and efforts related to the Coakley Landfill Right to Know request. Notable positions include Deputy Ranking Member on the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee, member of the Commission to Investigate the Seacoast Cancer Cluster, the Seacoast Commission on Long-Term Goals and Requirements for Drinking Water, and the Portsmouth City Council’s Safe Water Advisory Group. His focus areas encompass safe schools, clean water, gun violence prevention, and economic opportunity for New Hampshire families.
