Biography
David Lowe is a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives representing District 91 , Haltom City, Richland Hills, and Watauga. Born June 4, 1983, in Dallas, Texas, he was adopted young, enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman, completed four overseas tours including two combat deployments to Afghanistan, and retired in 2015. He resides in North Richland Hills as a husband and father of two. Notable positions include service on the Corrections and Intergovernmental Affairs committees. Key priorities encompass eliminating property taxes, securing the U.S.-Mexico border, election integrity, ending abortion, banning vaccine mandates, Second Amendment rights, protecting children, improving mental health services, juvenile justice reform, and education reform. He testified in support of a 2023 bill requiring immediate police investigation of missing children cases at high risk for trafficking, which passed and took effect September 1, 2023.
Education and Political Experience
Lowe earned a bachelor’s degree from American Military University in 2018. Politically, he volunteered for the Dallas County Republican Party starting in 2016, earning Volunteer of the Year in 2017; served as North Texas Regional Director for the Republican Party of Texas in 2020; and was a precinct chair in Dallas and Tarrant counties. Elected in 2024 after defeating incumbent Stephanie Klick in the primary, he assumed office January 14, 2025, and is seeking a second term. Previously listed as retired.
