Biography
David Hogue is a Republican state senator representing District 38 in North Dakota, based in Minot. Born on December 5, 1962, he has served in the North Dakota State Senate since 2009, assuming office on December 1, 2008. Notable achievements include serving as Senate Majority Leader since late 2022, Majority Caucus Leader from 2013 to 2023, and President Pro Tempore from 2019 to 2021. He is a U.S. Army veteran with extensive military service and has held key committee roles, such as chairing the Senate Ethics Committee and serving on Appropriations, Judiciary, and Natural Resources committees.
