David Hawk is a Republican representing Tennessee House District 5 . Born on June 21, 1968, he is a businessman, Lutheran, and father of two children. He serves as Chairman of the Transportation Subcommittee and is a member of the Finance, Ways, and Means Committee, Private Acts Committee, and Transportation Committee. Notable achievements include graduating with honors from East Tennessee State University with a degree in Marketing, attending Tusculum College, completing Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government Senior Executive program in 2006, receiving the 2017 Council of State Governments Henry Toll Fellowship, and participating in the 2016 Southern Legislative Conference Center for the Advancement of Leadership Skills.
