Biography
David M. Gallegos is a Republican State Senator representing District 41 in the New Mexico State Senate since 2021. A lifelong resident of Eunice, New Mexico, he is a proven conservative leader with decades of community service, including over 20 years on the Eunice School Board. He previously served in the New Mexico House of Representatives for District 61 from 2013 to 2020. Gallegos is retired from the natural gas industry after 30 years and currently works as a Senior Superintendent in construction with Ramirez & Son's. He has been married to Sonya for over 45 years; they have two daughters, Megan and Jennifer, and one granddaughter. Notable positions include Senate Republican Caucus Chair, and he advocates for Second Amendment rights, the oil and gas industry, right to life issues, and protecting New Mexico values.
