Biography

David Bullard is a Republican state senator representing District 6 in the Oklahoma Senate, which includes Bryan, Choctaw, Atoka, and Coal counties. Born on August 6, 1978, he was first elected in 2018 after defeating Erick Wyatt in the Republican primary and Arnold Bourne in the general election, taking office on November 14, 2018. A former award-winning AP History teacher with a family background in ranching, woodworking, construction, and real estate, Bullard resides in Durant with his wife Amber—a high school principal—and their two children, who attend local public schools. He serves as a deacon at Fairview Baptist Church and on the executive board of Patriots Ministries.
