Biography

Dave Yacovone is a Democratic representative for the Lamoille-Washington district in the Vermont House of Representatives, serving since 2025 after previous terms from 2017 to 2023 and earlier in 1993–1994 and 1995–1996. Born on March 12, 1954, in Springfield, Massachusetts, he moved to Morrisville, Vermont, where he resides with his wife, Deborah Eastman Yacovone, and they have two sons, Seth and Evan. Now retired, he has over 45 years of experience in health and human services, including roles as a licensed Nursing Home Administrator for 16–17 years, Commissioner of Aging and Disabilities under Governor Howard Dean, and Commissioner for Children and Families under Governor Peter Shumlin. Notable civic service spans 30–40 years as Town Moderator, Select Board Member, School Board Member, Justice of the Peace, Assistant Judge, and Planning Commissioner; he has also served as a trustee for organizations like Lamoille Home Health, Copley Hospital, and the Manor Nursing Home.
