David Stuebe
David Wayne Stuebe is an American politician from Washington, born around 1960. He is a Republican representing Washington's 17th Legislative District in the state House of Representatives, a position he has held since November 2024, when he won his election by 807 votes against Democrat Terri Niles.
Stuebe currently serves as Mayor of Washougal, a position he has held following his appointment to the Washougal City Council in March 2021. He is deeply committed to his community and has made public safety, affordable housing, and government accountability central to his platform.
Military and Professional Experience
Stuebe has an extensive background in military and corporate leadership. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for thirty years, both in active duty and reserves, retiring with the rank of Colonel. Following his military career, he spent twenty years in management and leadership roles at various pharmaceutical companies, bringing significant professional expertise to his political work.
