David Allen Smith is a Republican representing Florida House District 38, which covers the southwestern section of Seminole County, including portions of Oviedo, Winter Springs, Casselberry, Longwood, Fern Park, Altamonte Springs, and Wekiva Springs. Born on March 17 at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland, he moved to Central Florida in 1972; his father was a U.S. Army officer and Vietnam Veteran. A Southern Baptist, he resides in Winter Springs and works as a business consultant.
