Biography
David Rollins
David M. Rollins is a Democratic state representative from Augusta, Maine, currently serving his first term in the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 59. He assumed office on December 3, 2024, following his election in November 2024.
Rollins grew up in Augusta and has deep roots in the community. He is a licensed real estate appraiser and has spent 16 years as an elected official for the City of Augusta, including seven years as mayor and nine years as an at-large councilor. He is married to Georgann and has one child and two grandchildren.
Education
Rollins graduated from Cony High School in Augusta and earned his degree from Husson University in 1980, where he completed both a B.A. and B.S.
Political Experience
In the Maine House of Representatives, Rollins serves on the State and Local Government Committee, which oversees state government operations, municipal governance, elections, administrative procedures, and related matters.
Prior to his legislative career, Rollins worked in the private sector, beginning as a materials purchaser and coordinator for Bridge Construction Co. and later working for Campbell Soup Co., where he was employed for 15 years.
Beyond his official positions, Rollins is active in the Augusta community as a member of the Calumet Club, Elks Club, and other civic organizations.
