Dave Jacoby

Dave Jacoby is a Democratic representative in the Iowa House, serving House District 86. Born and raised in Marion, he currently resides in Coralville in Johnson County with his wife Lynette and two daughters.

Beyond his legislative work, Jacoby has been actively involved in his community. He previously served two terms on the Coralville City Council and is a member of the Coralville Chamber of Commerce. He also participates in several boards and organizations, including the Iowa Workforce Development Board, Civil Service Committee, Empowerment Board, Mayor's Youth Board, and St. Thomas More Catholic Church.

Education

Jacoby holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Iowa.

Political Experience

Jacoby is currently serving his 11th term in the Iowa House of Representatives. He works as a Program Director for Kirkwood Community College. In the legislature, he holds the position of Ranking Member of the Ways and Means committee, a significant role that reflects his seniority and influence within the chamber.
